As part of its modernization process, Produbanco, looking to the future, decided to embark on one of the most demanding and challenging projects of its last decades: the complete remodeling of its old headquarters in the commercial area of Iñaquito, in the main financial area of Quito.
The bank’s former headquarters operated in two buildings designed and built 40 and 30 years ago, respectively, but which functioned as one.
Looking towards the future of the institution, and seeking to transform this space into a modern, spacious, transparent, and agile one that provides both clients and its staff with a completely renewed experience of the brand, Produbanco decides to develop this project by Contract Workplaces.
The project seeks not only to refresh and create a new modern and dynamic image but also to develop dynamic and collaborative spaces that encourage teamwork and collaboration, as strategies to develop innovative processes and services.
One of the most important challenges was to maintain the exterior of the existing building, while its interior would be completely renovated. As part of the challenges, one of its facades had to be lightened, at the same time as its general structure reinforced.
Its workspaces are wide and open under the concept of open space, where workstations and collaborative areas flow through several floors. Its design maximizes the use of the views around the building, as well as natural lighting both from the perimeter windows of the building, as well as an impressive atrium that goes from the 1st floor to the roof, bathing all spaces with light.
To create a new space that reflects the excellence, solidity, and modernity of the institution in the future, without a doubt, the team successfully carry out a challenging and visionary project.
